Minimalist Staircase Cascade Chandelier

A minimalist cascade chandelier whose slim acrylic rods hang at staggered lengths from a compact canopy. Each rod glows along its full length, so the fixture reads as falling lines of light rather than points.

Design and materials

Ironware in gold, black, or silver supports the acrylic diffuser rods, with head counts from six to forty and freely adjustable drop heights. The pared-back vertical form suits modern, minimalist, and architectural interiors.

Where it works

The six to twelve head versions at 59.1 in (150 cm) to 78.7 in (200 cm) suit a living room, study, or bedroom, while the twenty to forty head versions at up to 157.5 in (400 cm) are built for a multi-story stairwell or hotel atrium. Center it in the void so the staggered rods are read from every floor, and keep surrounding walls plain.
