Modern Ring Staircase Chandelier

A minimalist staircase chandelier made of slim aluminum rings hung at staggered heights on individual cords. Each ring diffuses its LED light through acrylic, so the drop reads as a column of soft horizontal bands rather than a cluster of bright points.

Design and materials

Aluminum rings in all black or black and gold carry acrylic diffusers, and the number of rings sets the total drop. The pared-back geometry suits modern and Nordic interiors, villa stairwells and loft landings where the fixture is seen from several floors.

Where it works

One to six rings suit a corridor, balcony or single-story landing, while the eight to thirty-five ring versions are sized for an open staircase or a double height foyer. Center it in the stairwell void and let the rail and tread color echo the black or gold frame.
