Nordic Glass Staircase Chandelier

Glass heads hang at staggered lengths from a single ceiling plate, forming a long vertical cascade. Each head throws its own small pool of light, so a tall void is lit at every level rather than only at the top.

Design and materials

Ironwork and glass are finished in polished chrome, in head counts from nine up to sixty and drops that adjust from 78.7 in to 118.1 in. The clean Nordic form suits modern stairwells, double height living rooms and open entrance halls.

Where it works

The nine and fifteen head versions suit a single-story landing or a dining area, while the thirty-two to sixty head versions are made for stair voids and open rooms of roughly 110 to 430 sq ft. Hang it close to the stair wall so the cascade is read from the landings, and keep the surrounding surfaces plain so the glass stays the only detail.
