Golden Natural Marble Chandelier

A solid block of natural marble forms the shade, carried on a plated gold stem and cord. Light passes through the stone and picks out its veining, so the glow is warm and softly uneven rather than flat.

Design and materials

The shade is natural yellowstone marble on a plated gold fitting, and the markings differ from piece to piece. The restrained Japanese inspired form suits Nordic, warm minimalist, and quiet luxury interiors.

Where it works

Because each piece lights only 3 to 5 square meters, it works as an accent rather than a main source, beside a bed, over a reading chair, or above a dining sideboard. A pair either side of a bed balances well, and the gold fitting pairs naturally with cream plaster, oak, and brass hardware.
