Woven Rattan Bamboo Chandelier

Rattan and bamboo are hand knitted into a lantern form over an iron frame. Light escapes through the open weave, scattering a soft pattern of shadows across the ceiling and nearby walls.

Design and materials

Each shade is woven by hand from bamboo and wood on an iron fitting, so the weave and tone differ slightly piece to piece. Offered in several profiles and sizes, it suits Japanese, boho, and cafe or homestay interiors.

Where it works

Each shade lights 3 to 5 square meters, so the 30 to 50 cm sizes suit a bedside, aisle, or reading corner and the 80 to 100 cm versions a dining table or cafe seating area. Hang two or three at mixed heights for a looser composition, and keep walls plain so the woven shadow pattern can be seen.
