Woven Bamboo Ceiling Light

A surface-mounted ceiling light with a shade woven from bamboo, so the light passing through the weave throws pattern onto the ceiling around it. The natural material gives it a warmth that painted metal and acrylic fixtures do not have. It takes a standard E27 bulb, which means you can set the brightness and warmth yourself.

Where it works

Both sizes stay compact, so this is best in a bedroom, hallway, entry, balcony, or bathroom rather than as the single light in a large living room. The 30 cm version casts a wider pattern from the weave and holds a larger ceiling better; the 20 cm suits a tighter space or a pair over a bedside run. Because no bulb is supplied, a warm white E27 bulb will show the bamboo tone at its best; a cooler bulb flattens it.
